For Web Design Firms

You design it. We build it in WordPress.

Your studio lives in Figma. Your clients live on WordPress. Oktohut is the dedicated dev pod that turns your designs into pixel-perfect, fast, maintainable WordPress builds — white-labeled as your own team.

Built For Agencies That…

Sound Familiar?

Great design dies in bad development

Web design studios produce beautiful work — then hand it to a build partner who flattens the detail, blows the deadline, or breaks on mobile. Here's where it goes wrong.

01
Design Fidelity

Builds never match the mockup

You obsess over spacing, type, and motion in Figma. The dev partner ships something 80% there — wrong margins, swapped fonts, dead animations. You spend days in revision hell.

02
Hiring Developers

In-house devs are dead weight

Project work is lumpy. A full-time WordPress dev is fully booked one month and idle the next — but you're paying $8k either way. Utilisation never works out.

03
Freelance Roulette

Every project, a new freelancer

You find a great dev. They get a full-time job. You find another. They ghost mid-project. There's no continuity, no shared standards, and your reputation rides on people you barely know.

04
Capacity & Pipeline

You turn down good work

Two great projects land the same week. You can only staff one. So you delay the client, or decline the work, or overload your team and ship something you're not proud of.

05
Handoff & Maintenance

The site breaks after launch

You design, build, launch — and then the client emails six months later with a broken plugin. You're a design studio, not a support desk, but now you're on the hook anyway.

06
Animation & Interaction

Motion gets lost in translation

Your prototype has gorgeous scroll interactions and micro-animations. Most WordPress devs can't replicate them — so the live site feels flat compared to what you sold the client.

How Oktohut Fits

The build team that respects your design

You stay the creative lead. Your pod becomes the development craft behind every project — translating your Figma into WordPress that actually looks like the design.

Pixel-perfect Figma → WordPress

We build to the design, not around it. Exact spacing, type scale, and breakpoints. The live site matches the mockup — every time.

Custom themes & page builders

Hand-coded custom themes, or Elementor / Gutenberg / Bricks when the client needs to self-edit. We build the way each project demands. .

Scroll & micro-interactions

GSAP, Lottie, scroll-triggered reveals, hover states, page transitions. The motion you designed, faithfully on the live site.

Elastic capacity, zero payroll

Take on two projects at once. Scale up with a second pod, down when it's quiet. Never turn down work or carry idle devs again.

CMS & client handoff

Clean ACF structures, editor-friendly blocks, and documentation so clients can update content without breaking the design. Handoffs that actually stick.

Post-launch care & maintenance

Plugin updates, security, backups, small edits — handled by the pod under your brand. Offer ongoing care plans without staffing a support desk.

The Margin Story

Keep the build margin inside your studio

When you subcontract development, the markup walks out the door. With a pod, you bill the build at your studio’s rate and keep the difference — on every project, without the payroll risk of an in-house dev.

Run the numbers honestly: a site build billed at $12,000 with a pod production cost of ~$2,200 = $9,800 retained — versus handing $7–8k to a freelance dev shop.

FAQ for Web Design Firms

Specific questions for design studios

How close to the design can you really get?

Pixel-perfect is the standard, not the exception. We build from your Figma using exact tokens — spacing, type scale, colour, breakpoints. Every build goes through a design-QA pass against your file before it reaches you. If it doesn't match, it isn't done.

Do you build custom themes or use page builders?

Both — we build the way each project demands. Hand-coded custom themes when you want full control and performance, or Elementor / Gutenberg / Bricks when the client needs to self-edit. We'll recommend the right approach on the intake call.

Can you build the scroll animations and interactions we design?

Yes — motion is a core strength. GSAP, Lottie, scroll-triggered reveals, page transitions, and complex hover states. Share the prototype or a reference and we'll replicate the feel faithfully on the live WordPress site.

Can we run multiple client projects through one pod?

One pod handles one active build at a time, with smaller tickets queued alongside. Studios running several concurrent projects usually add a second pod — giving you parallel build capacity without hiring or carrying idle developers.

Do you build in Webflow or Framer too?

Our pods are WordPress specialists — that's where we go deep, including WooCommerce. We don't do Webflow or Framer builds. If your studio designs in Figma and your clients need WordPress, we're the perfect build partner.

Can you handle WooCommerce projects too?

Absolutely. From simple product catalogues to complex WooCommerce stores with custom functionality, subscriptions, and integrations, we've built them all. We'll follow your designs precisely while keeping performance and usability front of mind.
